Tata Motors has announced that their new 'series of CNG Cars' would be unveiled on January 19th. While the business hasn't revealed which models will be available later this month, new CNG versions of the Tiago are expected. Unofficial bookings for the new CNG automobile have already started.

Tata's Tiago CNG will be the firm's first CNG vehicle to be marketed in India this year. Furthermore, the business is planned to expand its CNG portfolio to include other vehicles like as the Tigor subcompact sedan, Altroz premium hatchback, and Nexon subcompact SUV.

Tata Motors is unlikely to make substantial changes to the Tiago CNG model once it is released, apart from its new CNG kit. In order to distinguish itself from its normal ICE equivalent, the new kit will be accompanied with a distinct iCNG badging. While the technical specifications for the Tiago's factory-fitted CNG kit have yet to be released, it is expected to return a mileage of around 30 km per kg.

The same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine is likely to power the vehicle under the hood. The engine, which is connected to a five-speed manual transmission, has a maximum output of 85 BHP and peak torque of 113 Nm.

In comparison to its competitors, the new Tata Tiago CNG will face off against rivals such as the Maruti WagonR CNG and the Hyundai Santro CNG, among others. In the last few months, there has been a huge increase in demand for CNG cars in India. In the eight months leading up to November 21, a total of 1,36,357 CNG cars were sold.
