Tata Motors is all set to showcase its latest vehicle, the Tata Curvv, on July 19. This modern and striking Coupe SUV will be officially launched on August 7. The Tata Curvv will come in two variants - one with petrol and diesel engines and the other fully electric. The Curvv EV will feature a high bumper and wide air dam, inspired by the facelift design of its larger siblings, the Harrier and Safari. This resemblance has led many to call it the "baby Safari." Following the success of the micro SUV Tata Punch, the company is now bringing in this exciting Coupe SUV.

Competition in the ICE Segment

The ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version of the Tata Curvv will face competition from several popular models, including:

  • Hyundai Creta
  • Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
  • Kia Seltos
  • Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
  • Honda Elevate
  • Skoda Kushaq
  • Volkswagen Taigun
  • MG Astor

Rivals for the Electric Variant

The Tata Curvv EV will compete with models like the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. Tata Motors already has a strong EV portfolio, which includes the Tata Nexon EV, Tata Punch EV, Tata Tigor EV, and Tata Tiago EV.

Expected Features

The Tata Curvv is expected to come with several impressive features, such as a stylish LED light bar, uniquely designed LED headlights, and a robust bumper. Its roof design slopes slightly downward, giving it a distinct SUV-coupe look. Inside, the car is expected to feature a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument console, a two-spoke steering wheel with touch panels, and touch control for the air conditioning. Additionally, the car is likely to offer a 360-degree camera and a panoramic sunroof.

Anticipated Range

Tata Motors has previously mentioned that the electric version of the Curvv will be released first, followed by the petrol and diesel variants. The electric Curvv is expected to have a range of 400-500 kilometers on a single charge. This impressive range will be possible due to its larger battery, which will be significantly bigger than the Nexon EV's 30.2 kWh battery. Moreover, the Curvv EV is likely to feature dual motors, providing all-wheel-drive capability for better performance across various terrains.

The Tata Curvv is an eagerly awaited addition to Tata Motors' lineup, promising to bring advanced features and a stylish design to the Coupe SUV segment. With its combination of petrol, diesel, and electric variants, the Curvv is poised to cater to a wide range of consumers, from those seeking traditional engine options to those looking for eco-friendly electric vehicles. As Tata Motors continues to innovate and expand its offerings, the Curvv is set to make a significant impact in the competitive Indian automotive market.
