Tata Motors unveiled the Safari Gold Edition on Friday, priced at Rs 21.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Safari Gold Edition is said to have high-end and high-tech amenities, according to the carmaker. The Safari Gold version, which was released just in ahead of the holiday season, comes in two colour options: White Gold and Black Gold.

The White Gold paint concept, according to the manufacturer, was inspired by the premium Frost White colour. It receives a black roof, giving it a two-tone look. There's also a mid pad with a Mont Blanc Marble surface and delicate golden accents.

The exterior of the Black Gold colour variation is inspired by a Coffee Bean. On the exteriors, there are also dazzling golden touches. This model's cabin features a Dark Marble mid-pad and golden accents. While the SUV's overall shape stays the same as the normal model, the distinct colour themes give it a unique look. Premium elements such as Oyster White Diamond are also included in the special edition model's interior. Quilted leather seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier, and Android Auto and Apple Carplay through WiFi. This car's powerplant has remained unchanged.

Commenting on the launch of the Safari Gold, Vivek Srivatsa, Head - Marketing, Passenger and Electric Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said that this premium flagship SUV has reached the milestone of selling 10,000 units within five months of its launch. “The Safari has received immense love from our customers and keeping in mind the response, we are delighted to announce the introduction of the prestigious Safari Gold Edition from Tata Motors. Staying true to its DNA and in line with our New Forever philosophy, Safari Gold is a vision of luxury and opulence," he further added.

Tata Motors claims to be the market leader in the SUV sector, with a 39 percent market share (YTD). The manufacturer wants to boost market share even further with the introduction of the Safari Gold Edition. The Tata Safari is built on the OMEGARC platform, which is based on the D8 platform from Land Rover.
