New Delhi: The Tata Group's 69-year wait finally came to an end on Thursday. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran met PM Narendra Modi before the formal handover, after which Chandrasekaran returned to the Air India headquarters, where the formal process of handover was completed.

 

The Prime Minister's Office shared a picture of the meeting and gave information in this regard. It is being told that during this meeting, the head of Tata Sons spoke to PM Modi regarding the handover of Air India and further operation. There is also a big meeting of the Board of Air India today. The current board of Air India is likely to resign today. After this, the nominees of tata can replace the old members on the board. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has tweeted about this.

He said the process of disinvestment of Air India has been completed within the stipulated time and it is worth noting. This shows the government's capability and resolves to effectively disinvest non-strategic sectors in the times to come. In another tweet, Scindia congratulated Ratan Tata by tagging him. He wrote, "Best wishes to the new owners of the airline. I am sure that under their shadow, Air India will move forward and pave the way for the civil aviation industry in India.
