For the last 30 years, the Bisleri company, which has been selling soft drinks like Thums Up, Gold Spot, Limca, and CocaCola, is now going to be purchased by the Tata Group. The deal between Bisleri International and Tata Consumer Products Limited is expected to be between Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000 crore. According to the media report, talks between the two companies have been going on for the last two years regarding this deal.

The firm was started by Jayantilal Chauhan in 1984. At present, the chairman of the company is Ramesh J Chauhan and he is 82 years old. He told he doesn't have a successor to take Bisleri to the next level. He said that his daughter Jayanti is not very interested in business. Bisleri is the largest packaged water company in the country.

Further, Bisleri's chairman said that I hope Tata Group will expand it further in the future. However, the decision to sell Bisleri bothers me. I love the culture and values of Tata. That's why I decided to sell it to Tata Group. He told that apart from this, many groups were also willing to buy it. According to the agreement between Tata Consumer Products and Bisleri, the existing management of Bisleri will continue to work for two years. In an interview, Chouhan said that the decision was taken after several rounds of discussions with Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran and Tata Consumer CEO Sunil D'Souza. Because of this, I felt that these people are good. Bisleri's chairman said, what will I do with the money I get after selling the company? Haven't thought about it yet. It has been made after working hard for a long time. That's why I was looking for a buyer who would take care of the company as well as the employees.
