Mumbai: The cyclonic storm, which started with the low pressure area in Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea, has picked up momentum. The speed is said to be faster in a few hours. In fact, this storm is moving fast towards Gujarat. But just before that, it is going to pass through Maharashtra and Goa. It will reach the Konkan region of Maharashtra in a few hours from now. The storm is said to be passing through the coastal parts of Maharashtra from today till the day after tomorrow (May 15 to 17).

Let us tell you that mumbai is currently cloudy with dark clouds. It has started raining lightly in south Mumbai and suburbs. The control room has become active in 24 wards of Mumbai. Arrangements have been made to take the fishermen of Koliwada on the beach immediately if required. Apart from Mumbai, goa has also started receiving light rain. The NDRF team has been ordered to remain vigilant here. The NDRF team from Pune has reached Goa.

Raigad, Palghar, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri are currently on alert. Earlier, it was said that Maharashtra and Gujarat will be unaffected by the storm but now the Met department has predicted that the storm is moving towards Gujarat instead of Oman. Due to this, it will pass through the coastal areas of Maharashtra. This will bring strong winds of 70 to 80 kilometres and heavy and heavy rain.
