Industrialists also want changes in tax policy in Madhya Pradesh

The companies have suffered heavy losses due to the lockdown. The government collects crores of rupees from the industries every year in the name of tax-duty, but no adverse steps have been taken in the name of relief in adverse circumstances like lockdown. What is being described as relief is not relief, but an increase in loan or repayment deadline. Therefore, even after the industry is shut down in lockdown, there is an outrage among industrialists for not taking any decision on recovery of fixed charge for tax, duty relief or consumption of electricity during that period and they want change in the tax policy like labor laws.

Gautam Kothari, president of Pithampur Industrial Organization, Dhar, has said that the government is giving relief to industries, but if a unit takes a bank loan, the state government will impose a half percent stamp duty on the entire amount. The relief given from this will also be withdrawn as duty.

Industrialist CP Sharma said that in the form of ESI, the industry collects a large amount of money to the government. It has a deposit of about 84 thousand crores, out of which salary of lockdown period will be given to the employees of the industrial units. SK Pali, former president of Govindpura Industries Association, said that industries are milch for the government, but its needs are not taken care of. There are some fix charges, which need a change. The government should consider it soon.
