Tayi Taggu, APCS (Admin Grade), was recently appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Siang, succeeding Kinny Singh.

Taggu, who took over as the district's new DC, stated that he is dedicated to providing effective administration to the district's residents. On his first day at the office, he toured all of the DC's branches and engaged with the officers and personnel. The DC emphasised the need of implementing e-Office in the DC's office as soon as possible.

"E-Office is a digital workplace solution for paperless offices in Government offices and the digital monitoring mechanism of e-Office increases accountability and responsibility at all levels and brings positive changes in Government office functioning," Taggu said.

He also asked for assistance and collaboration from all departments in order to ensure the district's effective implementation of e-Office. The leaving DC, Kinny Singh, was given a heartfelt goodbye by the authorities and workers of the DC's office earlier. During her tenure, Singh expressed her gratitude to the people of East Siang, elected officials, all administrative officers, East Siang Police, HoDs, Staff, PRI members, Councillors and members of Pasighat Municipal Corporation (PMC), CBOs, NGOs, Central bodies, and all stakeholders for their support and cooperation. She advised them to maintain the same collaborative attitude under the new DC's direction.

"Together, we have successfully conducted Assembly, Municipal and Panchayat elections, as also events of national and State level, COVID-19 management and achieved many developmental goals in the district by working with team spirit" Singh said.
