Taylor Simone Ledward Honors Late Chadwick's Legacy With Moving Speech

The 30th annual Gotham Awards of the year 2021 honoured the late Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman. During Monday night’s virtual ceremony late actor Chadwick was honoured with a special posthumous Tribute Prize. The prize was received by his widow Taylor Simone Ledward on the beloved star’s behalf.

The late actor's wife delivered the speech, Simone with her speech left everyone in tears. She said that Boseman was the most honest person she had ever met. She further said “He is the most honest person I’ve ever met…because he didn’t just stop at speaking the truth. He actively searched for it in himself, in those around him and in the moment." She added that Chadwick harnessed the power of letting go, and letting God’s love shine through. He realized that when one is able to recognize that when their strength does not come from themself, they rarely mess up. While ending up the speech, widow Taylor wished for our spirits be fertile soil for God’s wisdom to fall upon. She then said: “Chad, thank you. I love you. I am so proud of you. Keep shining your light on us. Thank you.”

For the unread ones, Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 at the age of 43 fighting battle with colon cancer.  The late star Chadwick gave his best to his work even his last days. It said that he is also likely to be nominated for an Oscar for his work in the Netflix movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
