TCS achieves first m-cap milestone of Rs. 7 lakh crore

On Friday, the leading MNC Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) market estimate rose past the Rs 7 lakh crore mark. This arousal has made TCS the first company to achieve this milestone. 

According to the reports, in intra-day session on the BSE, the market estimate of TCS bounced to Rs 7,03,309 crore. On the today's exchange, the m-cap has been determined from its 52-week high price of Rs 3,674 hit. Today, Tata Consultancy Services' shares rose by 1.91 percent to Rs 3,674.

So far this year, the shares of the company have gained the momentum nearly 35 percent. Earlier this year, TCS market valuation had grown past the Rs 6 lakh crore mark. This growth had made it the second company to achieve the milestone after Reliance Industries.

Meanwhile, last year, IT bellwether TCS had become the first Indian company to end the trading session with over $100 billion market estimate.

According to TOI, TCS is the country's most valued MNC, followed by Reliance Industries with a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 5,83,908.87 crore, HDFC Bank (Rs 5,19,654.83 crore), HUL (Rs 3,42,244.47 crore) and ITC (Rs 3,30,919.46 crore) in the top five list. The nation's biggest software exporter TCS on April 19 proclaimed a 4.4 percent increase in March quarter net profit at Rs 6,904 crore.
