Andhra Pradesh Commission for Women Chairperson Vasireddy Padma said that the commission is working with determination to empower and protect women financially. TDP, which does not look after the welfare provided to women by the government, is making false allegations against YSRCP. He said that internal complaints committees will be constituted in educational institutions and offices on the issues of women and girl students.

President Vasireddy Padma said that CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing various welfare schemes for the betterment of women without seeing them as vote banks. She said that in two and a half years she is standing on her feet and she believes that schemes like Asra, Amma Vodi and Cheyutha are contributing to the welfare of women.

He said that the commission is redressing the complaints of women received in the Spandan program from time to time. “TDP leaders should not criticize a woman home minister in such a dirty way and it is not a good thing. Women's commission member Sayuja, RUDA chairperson Medapati Sharmila Reddy, Marty Lakshmi and Dr. Anapuri Padmalatha were present in the program.
