New Delhi: Teachers' Day is being celebrated across the country today. The festival is celebrated every year on 5th September and the blessings of teachers are sought on this occasion. Now, on Teachers' Day today, all political figures including PM Modi have greeted the people of the country. At the same time, everyone has remembered The First Vice President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary.

 

 

In a tweet on the occasion, PM Modi said, "Greetings to the teachers' fraternity on teachers' day, teachers play an important role in the intellectual development of youth. It is commendable how the journey of education created by teachers continued even in the Corona crisis. PM Modi also said, "I pay homage to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary and also remember his distinguished scholarship and his contribution to our country.''

 

 

Apart from him, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted, "Humble tributes to former President of India, great educationist, Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji on his birth anniversary. The bright light of your nationalist ideas will continue to inspire us all to build an educated, capable and self-reliant India.''

 

 

At the same time, Planet Minister Amit Shah tweeted: "I salute the great philosopher and outstanding teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji, on his birth anniversary. On Teachers' Day, I salute our hardworking teachers who have made a significant contribution to nation-building by nurturing the lives of students through the light of education.'' Let me tell all of you that Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the First Vice President and second President of independent India, was born on September 5, 1888, and guided many youths with his knowledge.
