New Delhi: Indian cricket team batsman and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Shreyas Iyer has bought a gleaming Mercedes-AMG G63 4Matic SUV. Pictures of Iyer buying an SUV have been shared by a Mumbai-based car seller. The Mercedes is said to be priced at Rs 2.45 crore.  The Mercedes-AMG G63 is the top edition of the 4matic G-Wagon series and is powered by the AMG 4.0-litre V8 Biturbo engine. 

It has an output of 430 kW (585 HP) and a peak torque of 850 NM. Talking about its speed, this SUV catches a speed of 0 to 100 km per hour in just 4.5 seconds. Sharing the pictures on social media, Landmark Cars Mumbai wrote, "Congratulations to Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer for buying a new Mercedes-Benz G63. We welcome you to the Star Family and hope that you will enjoy running this star as much as we get to see your cover drive."

The captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) performance in IPL 2022 was not anything special and it could not even make it to the playoffs. In the mega auction, KKR had included Shreyas Iyer in their squad for Rs 12.25 crore.  Shreyas Iyer has scored 401 runs at an average of 30.84 in a total of 14 matches in IPL 2022, including three half-centuries. Shreyas Iyer played for Delhi Capitals last season.
