New Delhi: Team India has reached the final of the Under-19 World Cup being played in the West Indies. In the semi-final match played at the Coolies Cricket Ground in Antigua, India defeated Australia by 96 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Team India scored 290 runs for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For India, captain Yash Dhull played a brilliant inning and scored 110 runs.

At the same time, vice-captain Sheikh Rashid scored 94 runs. In reply, Australia was bowled out for 194 in 41.5 overs. For Australia, Lachlan Shaw scored 51 runs. In the final, India will face 1998 champions England. The match will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on February 5. With this win, four-time champions Team India has made it to the final for the fourth time in a row and a record eighth time. India holds the record for reaching the finals for the most number of times in the Under-19 World Cup. Team India has reached the finals in 2000, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2020 and this year. India won the World Cup in 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018. At the same time, in 2006, 2016 and 2020, they lost in the final.

India's record against Australia in the Under-19 World Cup has been excellent. A total of eight matches have been played between the two teams. Out of this, Team India has won six and Australia has won two matches. In this tournament against Australia, India has not lost a single match in the last 24 years.
