New Delhi: Team India players will get 20 days off from bio bubble in the UK after the completion of the World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton. All the players will come out of the bio bubble on June 24. They can then move out till July 14. They will then have to return to the bio bubble for the five-Test series against England.

Talking to media, sources have informed about the developments in the team management that it will be a welcome break as the team will not only have to spend time in the bubble for the Test series against England but also step straight into the bio bubble of IPL. The source said, "The group will leave for a break after playing the final against New Zealand on June 24 and then re-submit around July 14 to prepare for the Test series against England again which begins on August 4".

Asked if this meant cricketers could go to a place where there are fewer or not a covid-19 case, the source said the bio bubble exemption would be restricted to the UK only so that there is no difficulty in re-assembling after the break.
