Nagpur: On the basis of Indian fast bowler Deepak Chahar's six wickets, India defeated Bangladesh by 30 runs in the third T20 match of the three-match series played at Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium. Batting first, India had scored 174 runs at the loss of five wickets in the scheduled 20 overs, in response to which Bangladesh's entire team was reduced to 144 runs in 19.2 overs.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and invited India to bat first. Batting first, India scored a total of 174 runs with the help of half-centuries from Lokesh Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. Lokesh Rahul played an innings of 52 runs in 35 balls, in which he hit 7 fours, while Shreyas Iyer scored a quick 62 runs in 33 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes.

Now Bangladesh came on the field to set a target of 175 runs, but it started off poorly and opening batsman Litton Das got out after scoring only 9 runs. For Bangladesh, opener Mohammad Naeem held one end and scored 81 runs in 48 balls, while successive wickets were falling from the other side. Deepak Chahar broke the back of the guest team by taking a hat-trick and was elected Player of the Match by taking 6 wickets in the entire match.
