Both teams participating in the São Paulo State League Finals this week have been accused of deliberately ignoring ongoing health recommendations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Former Sao Paulo state champions Corinthians refused to re-test on Monday, while their arch-rival Palmeiras has been slammed for allowing players and staff to go home after matches. The first leg of the state finals is to be played on Wednesday while the second leg is to be played on Saturday. The rules related to the Coronavirus of the São Paulo Football Association are the same which are to be implemented during the Brazil Championship starting next weekend.
