In BSNL's Rs 998 prepaid plan, the consumer will get the benefit of 2GB daily data. The validity of this plan is 210 days i.e. 7 months. This means that the consumer will get a total of 420GB of data in 7 months. This is an STV plan and hence the consumer will not get the benefit of free voice calling and free SMS.

If BSNL's new plan is compared to Airtel's Rs 998 prepaid plan, then the customer will get unlimited SMS calling as well as 300 SMS per day. The validity of this plan is 336 days. In this, only 12GB of data is being given without the daily data limit. At the same time, Vodafone Idea also has a prepaid plan of Rs 999. In this long term plan with 365 days validity, the consumer will get unlimited calling facility.

BSNL recently introduced a prepaid plan of Rs 997. In which the consumer is being given the facility of 3GB daily data. With this plan, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS daily are issued with a capping of 250 minutes. The validity of this plan is 180 days, with BSNL currently offering a long term prepaid plan of Rs 1,699, whose validity is 425 days and in this, the consumer can also get extra benefits for 2 months.
