While the Covid-19 pandemic has catapulted the importance of technology to the forefront-highlighting our dependence on apps, programmes, and various tools to just get through the day-it has proven to be of especially vital use in the education sector.
Technology: The Boon
Technology has been ensured more intensively over the last year owing to the circumstantial crisis, the provision for various engaging contents/programmes, and other valid certification courses online. However, previously, primary and secondary education did not feel the need to adopt the regular use of technology into their curriculum. But in the given scenario, e-learning is the only way children can have access to regular classes without much trepidation. While we can't seem to deny the advantages of the "traditional" mode of learning, the addition of technology to traditional classrooms can only aid in a deeper and immersive learning experience for students.
The student-teacher-parent cycle has undergone massive technological change when schools started operating online, therefore making it evident that technology must be a long-term inclusion in the curriculum and not just a stop-gap during the Covid-19 crisis.
Current scenario in the education sector:
The educational sector in India is rapidly taking off and soon becoming intertwined with " traditional" schooling. This is the time when hybrid learning comes into the picture, with both traditional and modern tools in education being cultivated together for more accurate and fruitful results.
Technology and its implications are manifold in various industries. However, in the last year, there has been a total paradigm shift in the education ecosystem, and we understand that. Education is, however, becoming more fun when various e-learning platforms are using animation and other fun tools to educate.
