Transsion Holdings sub-brand Tecno has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. The name of this phone is Phantom 9. The smartphone features triple rear camera and Google lens support and quad rear flash. This is the first smartphone to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor priced below Rs 15,000. The Tecno Phantom 9 has been launched in only one variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant are priced at Rs 14,999. It will be available in the Lapland Orra color variant. Its first sale will start on the e-commerce website Flipkart on July 17.

The Tecno Phantom 9 features a 6.4-inch Full HD plus AMOLED display. Its pixel resolution is 1080 x 2340. Also, the aspect ratio is 19:5:9 and 91.47 percent screen to body ratio. It has a waterdrop notch. The smartphone is mated to a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor and 6 GB of RAM. It offers 128 GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 256 GB via a microSD card. It works on HIOS 5.0 based on Android 9 Pie. So the phone has a triple rear camera. The primary sensor is 16 megapixels, the second is 8 megapixel wide-angle lenses and the third is a 2 megapixel-point sensor. The phone features microsper, AR Mode, Animoji, Bokeh mode, HDR, Beauty, Auto Scene Detection and Panorama. The smartphone features a 32-megapixel AI selfie camera. The battery is powered by a 3500mAh battery.
