New Delhi: The PHANTOM V Fold, a foldable smartphone from Chinese smartphone manufacturer TECNO, has gone on sale in India. Starting today, it can be purchased on Amazon.

The smartphone has triple rear cameras, AMOLED displays on the front and inside, a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, up to 512GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery, among other features.

The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold has an inward-folding design and a fingerprint reader mounted on the side. The device features a 6.42-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2550 pixels) AMOLED cover display and a 7.85-inch 2K+ (2000x2296 pixels) LTPO AMOLED foldable main screen. Both displays have a 120Hz refresh rate, a 100% P3 colour gamut, and a maximum brightness of 1,100 nits. Additionally, Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus protection is included for the outer display.

A 50MP (f/1.85) main camera, a 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP (f/1.98) telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom are all included in the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold's triple rear camera setup. On the main and cover displays, it proudly displays 32MP and 16MP lenses, respectively.

A MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage provide power for the TECNO PHANTOM V Fold. The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It is powered by the Android 13-based HiOS 13 Fold operating system. The device has 5G, dual SIM slots, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a Type-C port for connectivity.

The price of the PHANTOM V Fold in both the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations is Rs. 89,999. A free protection plan worth Rs. 8,888 will be provided to buyers. It comes with a free pick-up and drop-off service, a one-time screen replacement, and a one-year extended warranty. Starting today, the 12GB/256GB model is available for an early bird discount of Rs. 77,777.

The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold is a brand-new competitor to the similarly styled Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, which has a starting price of Rs. 1,54,999, in the foldable smartphone market.

Even though TECNO may not be a well-known name in flagship smartphones, the PHANTOM V Fold ticks all the right boxes with its high-end hardware and cutting-edge features.
