Palghar, 55-year-old stepfather of a teenager girl raped her for last four years in Nallasopara.

The terrible crime came to light when the 18-year-old victim finally gathered courage to file a police complaint on August 28.

“The girl was sexually abused by the accused since August 2012 whenever she was alone at home. Her stepfather had threatened to kill her if she revealed anything”, as the complaint says.

After the complaint, Tulinj police launched a hunt for the accused, who has been absconding.

The case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, has been registered against the accused.
