Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made his stand clear about campaigning in the Bihar Assembly by-election. The CM will not go to the election campaign. He has distanced himself from the stomach citing the injury in the stomach as the reason. CM Nitish Kumar will not campaign in the by-elections for both assembly seats. On Thursday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said he was not going to Mokama and Gopalganj for campaigning. However, there are many discussions on this decision of Nitish Kumar in the political corridors of the state because there are candidates of the Rashtriya Janata Dal on both seats.

Meanwhile, Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has announced to enter the assembly constituency in Gopalganj. He will go to Gopalganj on Friday to campaign for the by-election. After returning to Patna from New Delhi, Mr Yadav informed at the airport on Thursday. On Nitish Kumar staying away from campaigning, Tejashwi Yadav said that the Chief Minister has been hurt, and everyone knows this. I myself have spoken to him.

Tejashwi Yadav said that the CM has instructed the leaders of the Janata Dal United to go for election campaigning. Janata Dal (United) president Lalan Singh himself had gone to Mokama for campaigning on Wednesday. Several JD(U) leaders are also going to the two constituencies for campaigning. He parried a question on his visit to Mokama for campaigning. However, he went on to say how many times he would be tested (by the media). At the same time, on the question related to putting pictures of gods and goddesses on Indian notes, he said who is speaking what in which case, let him keep speaking. Politics should be on the real issue. In these, leaders should discuss the issues of poverty, corruption, unemployment, farmers and labourers. Mr Yadav had gone to New Delhi to enquire about the health of his father and RJD President Lalu Prasad after his return from Singapore.
