Patna: Senior RJD leader and leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has been accused of taking money in lieu of giving tickets to Congress leader Sanjeev Kumar Singh. It is alleged that Tejashwi allegedly took Rs 5 crore in lieu of giving a ticket to Sanjeev from Bhagalpur in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Now former deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav has clarified the matter.

Tejashwi, who returned to Patna on Monday evening after his visit to Ranchi, has questioned Sanjeev Kumar Singh over the whole issue. Tejashwi asked where did five crore rupees come from to give to him. Tejashwi said that no Tom Dick and Harry should sue me, I don't care. The question arises: Where did they get five crore rupees? Lalu Yadav's son said he wanted the entire matter to be investigated impartially. He also said that if it is proved in this case that whoever has accused them is wrong, strict action should be taken against that person.

Congress leader Sanjeev Kumar Singh has alleged that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his sister Misa Bharti as well as Congress state president Madan Mohan Jha and state Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore had taken Rs 5 crore from him in lieu of a ticket from Bhagalpur in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but did not give him a ticket. The court had also registered an FIR against Jasvi and Misa Bharti and ordered an inquiry into the case after a complaint was lodged with the CGM court in Patna.
