As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a cumulative total of 9,32,54,017 samples have been tested till October 16 with 9,99,090 samples being tested on Friday. The 837 new sufferers include 306 from Maharashtra, 73 from Karnataka, 61 from West Bengal, 57 from Tamil Nadu, 46 from Uttar Pradesh and 40 from Chhattisgarh.  Thus far, total 1,12,998 deaths reported in the country which includes 41,502 from Maharashtra, followed by 10,529 from Tamil Nadu, 10,356 from Karnataka, 6,589 from Uttar Pradesh, 6,382 from Andhra Pradesh, 5,946 from Delhi, 5,931 from West Bengal, 3,980 from Punjab and 3,617 from Gujarat.

The health ministry stressed that over 70 per cent of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities. "Our figures are being reconciled with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)," the ministry said on its website, adding that state-wise distribution of figures is subject to further verification and reconciliation. 

Corona infection is reported in Telangana between rainfall and flood hazards. On Friday, corona reported new infection cases of 1,451 and nine deaths. The total toll toll reached 1265, the cumulative number of positive cases reached 2,20,675. As of Friday, there were 22,774 active covid-19 cases in the state.


The rate of recovery also becomes constant in the state. As of Friday, a total of 1,983 people recovered, with the total Recovery rate of 89.1 per cent in the state reaching 1,96,636, while the recovery rate across the country was 87.7 per cent. The government has also increased the examinations. A total of 42,497 kovid tests have been conducted in the state over the past two days and 1,174 samples are awaiting. So far, a total of 37,89,460 Kovid-19 tests have been conducted in the state, of which 2,20,675 positive tests were conducted and 1,96,636 were recovered.


It is noteworthy that eight of the kovid-19 positive cases reported from the districts are from Adilabad, From 92, from GHMC, 235 from GhMC, 29 from Jangaon, 28 from Bhupalpalli, 11 from Garhwal, 11, 34 From Kamareddi, 65 from Karimnagar, 71 from Khammam, 32 from Asifabad, 24 from Mahabubabad, 24 from Mancheria, 22 from Medak, 25 from Medak malkagiri From Mulugu, 20 from Nagarkunul, 84 from Narayanapeta, 24 from Nirmal, 32 from Nizamabad, 28 from Peddapalli, 104 from Ranga Reddy, 32 from RangaReddy, 64 from Siddipet, 37 from Suryapet, 22 from Vanaparti, 24 from Warangal Rural, 28 from Warangal Urban, 55 from Warangal Urban and 24 from Yadri Bhongir.
