Ramagundam: Two children suffered grievous injuries after a mobile phone battery blasted. The incident occurred at Godavarikani on Thursday. The incident occurred at Godavarikani on Thursday evening. The two children, identified as Venu, a Class VII student and Akhil, a Class IV student resided at Vittal Nagar. The kids came across a mobile phone battery and an electronic device at a nearby dumping yard. They connected the battery to the device resulting in the explosion.

Hearing the sound of the blast, the family members rushed outside to find the kids grievously injured. Akhil suffered an injury in his left eye while Venu lost his two fingers from his right hand. The family members immediately rushed them to a government hospital in Godavarikani and later shifted them to Karimnagar government hospital for better treatment.

In another incident, a power bank explodes in the pocket while charging mobile. According to the sources, a man caught fire when he was charging his mobile while keeping power bank in his pockets. The man caught fire from the Power bank which was in his pocket and from which he was charging his mobile.
