Telangana CM assures clean water supply to villages by August 15

On Tuesday, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana addressed the Mission Bhagiratha review meeting. In the meeting, he commanded the officers to carry out all the arrangements required. He ordered them to provide clean and safe drinking water to all the households by Diwali and to all the villages by the 15th of August.

 

He asserted that a major part of the venture, Mission Bhagiratha has been accomplished. He added that the rest of the part shall be completed soon.  

The meeting was attended by minister like Jupally Krishna Rao, Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MP J. Santhosh Kumar, Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari and Secretary Smita Sabarwal and many others.

 

Rao expressed hat once the clean water is made available via the Bhagiratha venture, it would be the responsibility of the officers to maintain its supply to the households.

 

Rao suggested that since the venture has reached its accomplishment, there is a need for the various aspects of it to be re-examined like, works on intake wells, water treatment plants, Over Head Service Resources (OHSR), Over Head Balancing Reservoirs (OHBR), distributive pipelines and power substations.

 

He has commanded authorities to inspect the places where the work is going slow and make sure that it speeds up. He spoke to some local authorities also to get a proper knowledge of the work that is in progress.
