Hyderabad: After former Congress president Rahul Gandhi questioned the Indian Army's surgical strikes, Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao has also supported the Congress leader on the issue. On the occasion of the third anniversary of Pulwama, CM KCR said that it is not wrong for Rahul Gandhi to question the surgical strike. He also asks for evidence on it.
KCR made the statement after a journalist told him that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said why he did not respond to Rahul Gandhi's surgical strike question. To this, Chandrashekhar said, "It is not wrong to ask for Rahul Gandhi's proof on the surgical strike. I am also demanding that the Government of India give proof. They are the representatives of the people. The BJP always gives wrong propaganda. That is why people are asking for proof. In a democracy, you are not a king. Rahul Gandhi has been the President of the Congress Party and is the Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad. It's their right to ask questions.
He further said that "The BJP wants to use the surgical strikes for political gains. We will certainly question that. The Army should get credit for this surgical strike and not the BJP.'' Let us know that in an election rally in Uttarakhand recently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had raised questions on Rahul Gandhi's question on the surgical strike. "Rahul Gandhi asks our army for proof of surgical strikes, have we ever asked for proof from you whether you are Rajiv Gandhi's son or not? What right do you have to ask for evidence from the country's military?''
