Hyderabad: Recently Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan have expressed grief. Both of them have expressed grief due to the fire accident at the Srisailam hydroelectric plant. The Chief Minister took cognizance of the incident from Minister Jagdish Reddy and Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao. KCR has also said about expediting the relief and rescue operations.

On the Srisailam plant accident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sent a delegation of officials to the scene. Apart from this, he has also told the delegation to provide the necessary help. At this time efforts are being made to take out the nine people trapped in the plant. There are reports that the fire has also been controlled. According to the information received, the smoke is still there and due to this, there is a problem in going inside.

A massive fire broke out in TS Genco power generation centre of Nagerkarnool-Srisailam Left Bank Canal and the subsequent accident was due to trip. At the time of the incident, there were 17 people at the centre and as soon as the fire started, 8 injured were taken out of the tunnel route. 9 people are still trapped there. It is being told that at first, their phones were working but later they stopped. Presently rescue and relief work is going on.
