New Delhi: Congress veteran V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday gave an ultimatum to Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to withdraw his statement on rewriting the country's constitution. Talking to the media, Hanumantha Rao said that, CM KCR has started the Dalit Bandhu scheme and has said that the government will provide 10 lakhs to the Dalit family. He is giving because he is a Dalit and has been a slave for years.

The Congress leader further said that Babasaheb Ambedkar has written the constitution, which has uplifted the weaker sections. On one hand KCR wants to build a 124 feet statue of Ambedkar and on the other he wants to change the constitution. Hanumantha Rao said that earlier he had installed a statue of Ambedkar from Panjagutta Chowrasta in Hyderabad on April 13, 2019. Rao further said that, we got Telangana because of Article 3 of this Constitution. Now you have to change the constitution and remove the Ambedkar legacy. People are very angry. KCR is making a big mistake. People are rebelling in Telangana. Dalits are demanding self-respect, which will not be available by paying Rs 10 lakh.

The Congress leader said that KCR should withdraw his statement. We got real freedom after Babasaheb Ambedkar wrote the constitution. We are giving an ultimatum to the Telangana government to withdraw the statement. Let us inform that CM KCR had said that now the time has come to rewrite the Constitution in India. He had also said that many countries of the world have also made changes in their constitution, in the same way it should be done in their own country too.
