HYDERABAD: The investment support programme for farmers known as Rythu Bandhu, was officially launched by the Telangana government on Wednesday in its tenth phase.

For investment support for the Yasangi season, Rs 7,676 crore would be placed under this phase into the bank accounts of 70.54 lakh farmers. T. Harish Rao, the state's finance minister, reported that Rs 607.32 crore was deposited in the accounts of 21,02,822 farmers who owned up to an acre of land on the first day.

The rate of the investment support distribution is Rs 5,000 per acre. On Thursday, farmers with up to two acres of property will receive the funds, and on Friday, those with up to three acres will have the funds deposited in their accounts. The payment will keep coming till all 70.54 lakh farmers are covered in this manner. According to officials, help would be given for 1.53 crore acres this season.

The state government offers agricultural investments to farmers through the Rythu Bandhu scheme at a cost of Rs 10,000A per acre during both the Vanakalam andA Yasangi seasons. According to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, the programme, which is regarded as a revolutionary initiative in the nation's agriculture sector, is producing the best results possible.

Last week, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao gave the Finance Secretary orders to distribute Rythu Bandhu subsidies to all farmers promptly and in full, without any deductions. BRS leader K. Kavitha stated that the Chief Minister, often known as KCR, has fantasised about an India where the poor and farmers are given more authority. Telangana is realising the dream that was once only a dream, she said.

The state government has been offering financial help to all farmers for two harvests annually under the programme begun in May 2018. The government increased the sum from Rs 8,000 per acre per year (for both the Rabi and Kharif seasons) when the programme was first introduced to Rs 10,000 starting in 2019.
