Mulugu: A constable posted in the CRPF 39 battalion in the Mulugu district of Telangana and a SI got into a fight over something. The matter became so serious that cook commandant Stephen opened fire on CRPF SI Umesh Chandra. At 8.30 a.m. on Sunday, the camp at CRPF started to stir. There was a dispute between the Cook Commandant and the SI.
Stephen then fired at SI Umesh Chandra with his weapon. He later shot himself and committed suicide. The Superintendent of Police of Mulugu district said SI Umesh Chandra died on the spot after the firing. While Cook Commandant Stephen was seriously injured. The injured were taken to Warangal Hospital. Police said the incident took place at Venkatapuram division headquarters. The matter is under investigation.
