The Government of India has conducted state-wise awards as per Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and ranking and hygiene. In this view, Telangana state received the prestigious 'Swachh Bharat' award for the third year in a row, becoming the only state in the country to achieve this uniqueness. Not only that, Karimnagar district is ranked third in the districtdivision.
However, Swachh Bharat Awards are given to states, districts, blocks (mandals) and gram panchayats, especially under drinking water and hygiene categories. The central government has launched three missions under the guidance of Swachh Sunder Samudayak Shauchalaya, Samudayak Shauchalaya Abhiyan and Gandagi Mukh Bharat. "The state has implemented three abhayans and has achieved exemplary results there by reaching the top of the country," Said Yugal Kishore Joshi, Director, Drinking Water and Sanitation, in a letter to the State Panchayati Raj Department. Awards will be given on October 2 on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Divas.
It should be noted that this time the award function will be broadcast live because of The Kovid-19. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat will be presenting the awards. The award will be received by Sandeep Sultania, Secretary of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development on behalf of the state. The Minister congratulated Commissioner Raghunandan Rao and other staff for achieving the third record.
