Hyderabad: Gold worth 10 lakh went missing from Lakshmi Vilas Bank located in RK Nagar of the city. According to the Malkajgiri police and the complainant, Sai Gautam, working as an assistant manager in Lakshmi Vilas Bank, is in charge of the locker room. Meanwhile, on the 9th of this month, he took out some cash and put it in his safe, and took it the next day. In this background, on 11th, he lost the locker keys and searched for it, but could not find it.
On the 17th of this month, the locker company was called to open and as soon as the locker was opened, gold was found missing in it. Sai Gautam, assistant manager of the bank, lodged a complaint with the Malkajgiri police on Saturday. CI Venkateshwarlu, CCS Inspector jawan and clue team officer Nand Kumar went to the bank and investigated.
Suspicions have been raised that a complaint was lodged with the police on Saturday (21st) while the gold ornaments were not found after the locker was opened on the 17th of this month. It is reported that the master keys of all the lockers are with Sai and all the fingers point towards him. The police is actively probing the incident and also found that the CCTV cameras in the bank were not working for the last 20 days.
