Telangana Govt to buy 125 kg pure gold from RBI for Yayadri Temple

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to buy 125 kg of pure gold from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the temple in Yadadri. State CM K Chandrasekhar Rao told the press on Tuesday (October 19, 2021) that the aircraft Gopuram (temple peak) at Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple will require Rs 60 to 65 crore to gold.

CM KCR, who arrived on a visit to Yadadri, said, "According to the assessment, the temple needs 125 kg of gold. We have decided to complete it. It will cost Rs.60 to 65 crores. The Government has the power to do this work. We have decided to buy gold from the Reserve Bank of India. We will buy gold from RBI after completing the money-raising work so that we can get pure gold. He said that as the first donor, he will donate 1.16 kg of gold on behalf of his family and similarly many ministers and MLAs have also come forward for the work.

He said many donors have spoken about donating gold. Labour Minister Malla Reddy himself will donate 1 kg gold and 1 kg gold to the people of his constituency. While Nagarkunrul MLA Marri JanardhanReddy will give 2 kg gold, Bhaskar Rao will donate 1 kg gold on behalf of Cauvery Seeds. Noted seer Chinna Jeyar Swami, who finalized the Muhurat to reopen the temple, has donated 1 kg of gold to the temple. MPs Ranjit Reddy, Naveen Kumar of MLC, Shambhipur Raju, MLAs A Gandhi, M Hanumantha Rao, M Krishna Rao and KP Medchal and Vivek Anand have said they will donate 6 kg of gold.
