Telangana ranked 7th in India in suicide cases, 8,000 people died so far

New Delhi: Every day, many people in the country are forced to take a scary step-like suicide. Some people take such a step because of external pressure, while others are self-conscious because of the turmoil in the mind about something. In 2020, 3,765 people committed suicide by consuming poison. Maharashtra has the highest suicide rate. Telangana has increased suicide cases by 5 percent compared to 2019. In Telangana, 8,058 people committed suicide in 2020.

There were 398 suicide cases reported in Hyderabad. On the other hand, the Report of Khudkushi in Telangana has increased by 5% as compared to 2019. Hyderabad saw a growth of 2.3 percent. 947 suicides in the province were caused by bankruptcy or debt, while no such case was seen in the city. Marriage issues led to 104 suicides in the state, four in the city. 66 suicides took place in the state, 12 in the city due to failure in the examination. 4,190 people lost their lives in Telangana and 122 in the city due to family problems.

Relationship issues led to 193 suicides in the state, 26 in the city, 23 in the state, eight in the city due to unemployment. In Telangana, 471 farmers committed suicide and this is ranked 7th in India in this regard. Gujarat is also ranked 7th in terms of suicides. Maharashtra (4,006 cases) recorded the highest number of farmer suicides, followed by Karnataka (2016), Andhra Pradesh (889).
