Hyderabad: A case of murder of a bike-borne youth by stabbing a knife has come to light in Therur area of Telangana. The unidentified accused committed the crime when a youth named Nagaraj along with his wife reached the office of the city tahsildar on a motorcycle. Tension prevailed in the area after the incident. The family members of the deceased Nagaraj protested against the incident and blamed the family of Nagaraj's wife behind the murder.
Nagaraj reportedly got married to 23-year-old Syed Asherin Sultana (Pallavi) four months ago. Nagaraj's family said the two had been in love with each other since college. The two got married at the Arya Samaj temple in the old city. The family members of the deceased alleged that since Nagaraj was a Hindu and the girl was a Muslim, her (the girl's) family killed the boy. The deceased, 25-year-old Bilapuram Nagaraju, was a resident of Marredpalli in Secunderabad and worked as a salesman in a car showroom at Malakpet in the old city. She had a love marriage on January 31 at the Arya Samaj temple.
After the incident, the BJP demanded justice for Nagaraj's family and the arrest of the murder accused, as well as protests over the incident. At the same time, the police have registered a case and started the investigation and the search for the accused is being done. ACP Sridhar Reddy said that a case of murder of a youth named Nagaraj has come to light in Saroornagar. In the preliminary investigation, love marriage is being cited as the reason behind the murder. We are inquiring about further. I will share more information based on the investigation. Bjp spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said that if the Muslim husband of a Hindu wife had been killed by her family, we know what would have happened by now. The Congress, AAP, Trinamool Congress, and Samajwadi Party would have reached the United Nations alleging Islamophobia, but the victims, in this case, are Hindus, so everyone is silent.
