HYDERABAD: Former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao was offered heartfelt tributes on his death anniversary on Thursday, December 23.

At PV Gnana Bhoomi on the banks of Hussain Sagar lake, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, state ministers, Narasimha Rao's family members, and representatives of various political parties paid floral tributes to the late leader. The governor spoke on the occasion, recalling Narasimha Rao's contributions to the nation. She described the previous Prime Minister as a brilliant scholar, statesman, and administrator.

Home Minister Mahmood Ali, Animal Husbandry Minister T. Srinivas Yadav, Excise Minister Srinivas Goud, Narasimha Rao's daughter and Telangana Legislative Council member Sri Vani, and leaders of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) also paid their respects to the former Prime Minister.

Srinivas Yadav praised Narasimha Rao's contributions to the country's development. He said that the late leader's contributions were overlooked. According to the minister, the central government did not honour him as the author of economic reforms as he deserved.

Srinivas Yadav said that the TRS government held a year-long centenary celebration in honour of PV, as the previous Prime Minister was affectionately known. V. Hanumantha Rao, a senior Congressman, and K. Laxman, a BJP politician, were among those who paid floral tributes.
