Telangana: A Nigerian citizen named David, from Nalasopara area in Mumbai, was arrested by telangana police on suspicion of cyber crime. He is in a rented house in this area. There are allegations of fraud of Rs 25 lakh online.
The Nigerian man was arrested from Agarwal City in Nalasopara on Monday in an online fraud case of Rs 25 lakh. Officials at The Tullingpolice Station, who helped him in the operation of the Telangana police, suspect that the Nigerian citizen arrested on suspicion may have committed several cyber crimes in Vasai-Virar, Thane and Mumbai.
This is the first time anyone has become a victim of online fraud in Telangana during the lockdown, police said. But the police were able to identify him and arrest him.
