We all know that the GHMC elections are going to be held soon. In this queue, the BJP recently announced the first list of 21 candidates for the GHMC elections. On the other hand, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Wednesday announced a list of 29 candidates for the GHMC elections. The congress first list includes Begumpet a Manjula Reddy, Geedi Srinivas Goud for Malkajgiri, G Vishwatejeshwara Rao for Kukatpalli, S Sirisha Reddy for A.S.Rao Nagar, Mahipal Yadav for Kondapur and Cart Lalitha for Jeedimatregam.

In a notification issued on Wednesday by city police commissioner Anjani Kumar, all those who have arms licenses have asked them to deposit their weapons in the respective police stations or in the authorised arms dealers by November 19. The personnel working on guard duty in the premises of nationalized banks, the undertakings (PSU) in the public sector city and security personnel were excluded from accumulating weapons. Penalty proceedings will be initiated against those who fail to deposit weapons and their weapons will be confiscated. Anjani Kumar said they would also be investigated.
