Meanwhile, the Telangana government on Thursday issued orders to fix the Dalit welfare scheme 'Dalit Bandhu' in a village adopted by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in Yadadri Bhuvangari district. Under the scheme, each beneficiary family will get Rs.10 lakhs.

With this, the major scheme of Dalit Welfare of the TRS Government was launched. As per the order of the Government, the VC and Managing Director of Telangana Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Corporation (TSCCDC) has been directed to submit. An amount of Rs 7.60 crore has been allowed to be released so that 'Dalit Bandhu' can be implemented for the benefit of about 76 Dalit families of Vasalamari Gram Panchayat.

Rao had also announced the release of funds under 'Dalit Bandhu' for the benefit of 76 Dalit families during his visit to the adopted village of Vasalamari on Wednesday. He said Telangana has about 15-16 lakh Dalit families, most of whom are struggling for life. The 'Dalit Bandhu' scheme aims to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among Dalits. A day after CM K Chandrashekhar Rao introduced the Dalit brother, several TRS leaders including MLA Gongidi Sunita, Guvawala Balaraju, and others called KCR "Abhinav Ambedkar."
