Many schools are still not opened in the state. Although the state education department had decided to conduct classes for 166 days, gurukul schools have not opened yet, and there was no full attendance in classes even after the schools reopened. Keeping all these aspects in mind, the Telangana School Education Department has decided to conduct six examinations for the academic year 2021-22.

Because the schools are not being fully operated due to the corona epidemic. Usually SSC students have 11 papers i.e. two papers each for one subject except second language. However, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the government has canceled the exams for SSC students for two consecutive years.

In an order passed on Monday, the education department said that the government has decided to give six papers for SSC students as schools are not running fully. Apart from reducing the number of papers, the government also provided the possibility to the students to write the Urdu exam for the second language paper.
