Talks regarding the new secretariat was in discussions from the last few days. Recently, Cabinet has approved a new secretariat design for Telangana The government has given an administrative sanction of Rs 400 crore for the construction of the new building complex. The government intends to invite tenders and select a contractor by the end of August and the work would start in October. Since six is the lucky number of KCR, there was a campaign that the building would be built on an area of ​​six lakh square feet on six floors. But, finally, the government decided to build on an area of ​​seven lakh square feet on seven floors.

As soon as the demolition process of the old secretariat buildings started, the government released the new secretariat building complex designs. The design itself was finalized with minor changes. The building is similar to Bangalore Vidhana Soudha. But recently another interesting campaign about secretariat design has started. There are discussions that the design of the secretariat, which was finalized by the state government, is similar to that of Perdana Putra Palace of Malaysia.
