Telengana govt wants double engine growth: PM Modi

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the BJP was growing speedily and constantly in Telangana state since the 2019 Lok Sabha election, which is reflective of the strong desire of the people of Telangana to set a ‘double engine governemnt soon.

At a massive rally held in Hyderabad on Sunday following the conclusion of the national executive conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior party leaders called for a change of guard in the state of Telangana, where Assembly elections are anticipated next year. They said that the change was needed in order to satisfy the demands of the supporters of a separate state.

The BJP chose Hyderabad as the centre for its national executive conference after sensing the desire for change in Telangana.  “People of Telangana gave a good mandate for BJP in 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Their solidarty for BJP increased in GHMC elections and Assembly bypolls. This indicates that people of Telangana yearn for ‘double engine growth’, PM Modi said. We seek positive development that involves everyone. With a BJP government, let's move Telangana forward more quickly," he said.

The Prime Minister said that throughout the previous eight years, the BJP had made an effort to improve the quality of people's lives. "We have worked to bring growth to every region of the nation. For many years, we have included those who lacked access to even basic comforts in our development. People feel like they are being taken care of because of this, he claimed.
