Visakhapatnam: A case of the murder of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader in Andhra Pradesh has come to light. The body of the TDP leader was gutted by an under-construction apartment. TDP leaders created a ruckus after this incident. The opposition TDP blamed the ruling YSR Congress for the killing.
According to the information received, TPD leader Paramshetty Ankulu Pedagarlapadu was also the sarpanch of the village. The body of Paramshetty Ankulu has been recovered from an under-construction building at Dachepalli in Guntur district. Knife-stab marks have been found on Paramshetti Ankulu's body. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and took the body in the possession and sent it for postmortem. As the news of the TDP leader's murder spread, local party leaders also reached the spot. There was also an argument between the police and TDP leaders.
TDP leaders protested, claiming the YSR Congress-led government was responsible for the killing and shouted slogans against the police as well. Opposition leaders accused the police of acting at the behest of the ruling party. The police rejected the allegations made by the opposition. At present, the police have started investigating the case of the killing of TDP leader Paramshetti Ankulu.
