Telugu states celebrate Ugadi; Governor, CMs extend greetings

Hyderabad: With zeal and fervour, people in both Telugu states celebrated Ugadi, a New Year that begins on the first day of the traditional Chaitra month.

In a tweet, Governor of Andhra Pradesh Biswabhusan Harichandan expressed his greetings to Telugu people. "On this beautiful and auspicious occasion of Sri Subhakruthu nama "Ugadi" festival, the Telugu New Year Day, I express my heartiest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and to the Telugu people living all over the world." He sent out tweet.

"On this happy and auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Day, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Telangana and to the Telugu people around the world," Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said in a message. In separate messages, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy greeted the people on the occasion.

In a statement, KCR stated that the year of 'Shubhakrut,' which encapsulates the auspiciousness of the name, will bring good fortune to people in all areas. At Pragati Bhavan, his official residence, he took part in Ugadi celebrations.  

He expressed his joy by saying that Telangana was bustling with abundant water and verdant fields thanks to God's gifts. In a tweet, Jagan Mohan Reddy wished everyone in this auspicious New Year good health, longevity, health, and happiness.
