Guwahati: Tension soured along the border between Assam and Mizoram when tensions between the two states have resumed after a bomb blast at a school on the border. The case of the blast at the school has taken place in the Gutguti area of the Hailakandi district of Assam. The loss of life and property is not known in the bomb blast case but the tension between the two states seems to be on the rise after the incident.
According to reports, a bomb exploded at Pakua Capital Lower Primary School in the Gutguti area. However, the threat came from a lower intensity explosion. A wall of the school was partially damaged in the blast. According to reports, the school where the blast took place is located on the border of Assam and Mizoram. It was closed due to corona and no one was present around the school at night.
Halakandi Superintendent of Police Gaurav Upadhyay confirmed the matter while discussing it. He said a wall of the school was damaged in the blast. Senior police officers have reached the spot. The SP said that we are trying to maintain law and order in the entire border area. It may be recalled that the 990 Dholakhal Lower Primary School, Upper Pynom Lower Primary School in Kachar district, and Muliwala Lower Primary School in Katlichera block, about 12 km from Ramanathapur police station in the district, were also bombed by anarchic elements early this year.
