In Gujarat, 5 people lost their lives while two others were seriously injured when a car collided with a tractor in Banaskantha district. Police said on Sunday that there are 2 children among the dead. He said the four victims belonged to the same family who were in the car, while the fifth person is the driver of the tractor.

People involved in the incident died on the spot: An official has said that the incident took place late on Saturday night. An official of the Tharad police station said that the incident took place on the National Highway between Dhaneda and Tharad near Pavadasan village in the district. The car was having 6 people from the same family, including 2 children, who collided with a tractor on the highway. 5 people have died on the spot in the incident.

He said the 7-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother, her uncle and grandfather died in the accident while the girl's mother and grandmother were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital where they are being treated.  Where the official said the collision was so strong that the driver of the tractor jumped into the air and fell on the road, killing him on the spot. He said six family members were travelling by car from Dhaneda taluka of the district to their native village about 12 kilometres away when the accident took place.
