Srinagar: With the abrogation of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the possibility of a terrorist attack has increased. Pakistan is making every effort to create unrest in the Valley. "The threat of cross-border terrorism still remains," Rohit Kansal, chief secretary of state, said on Saturday. The security forces are on high alert," said Kansal, a state government spokesman. He was briefing the media about the situation in the State.

"Restrictions in 69 police station areas of the valley have been completely removed during the day time while 81 police station areas in Jammu region have not been banned during the day time," Kansal said. Earlier, security forces were asked to remain extra vigilant in the wake of the 73rd Independence Day. An official had disclosed that we are continuously intercepting messages where Pakistan is directing its officials to carry out attacks.

Pakistan has immediately reactivated a dozen terror camps along the international border with PoK and Jammu and Kashmir. The paris-based inter-governmental institution, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), which has been closed down almost entirely in the wake of the May 2019 deadline, saw a significant number of activities during the past week. The Government is fully aware of the peace and order situation in the valley.
