New Delhi: In view of the security arrangements in Delhi, the police have banned flying kites and drones. The intelligence department has informed the Delhi Police that the terrorists are angry with the withdrawal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and may carry out terror attacks in Delhi. Terrorists can use a government vehicle for attack. Security has been tightened in Delhi following intelligence inputs. The security of the Red Fort has also been beefed up. CCTV cameras have been installed at all places to protect the Red Fort.

800 cameras have been installed. Facial reading software is being used. Security has been beefed up in the capital in the wake of the attack inputs and checking has been started with pickets in place. Delhi Police Commissioner Amul Patnaik had called general patrolling on Sunday and left for patrolling himself. The Police Commissioner took stock of the security arrangements at several places. DCP Nupur Prasad of the northern district told media on Monday that the security of the Red Fort has been strengthened in view of the 15th of August.

Scaffolding has been made to protect the Red Fort. A lot of check points have been created. Apart from local police, security units, NSG, SPG and Army personnel will be deployed. Northern District DCP Nupur Prasad said that drones have been banned in and around the Red Fort and in Delhi. Drones as well as kite flying will also be banned. Kite flying will be banned from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the Red Fort event. Security agencies across the country are on high alert for the upcoming 15th of August.
